‘Tarantino’ provides an insight into the life and work of world-reknowned director and writer Quentin Tarantino. Tarantino is known for his stylized violent, neo-noir films that capture their audiences not only visually, but by their linear-stories and satirical dialogues. With a minimal,
three-column layout the catalogue reflects the bold film style of Tarantino. The layout allows the photographs to be a prominent focal point. The images portray the nature of the films and feature significant characters in the Tarantino series. The small blood spatter over the title of the cover is coated with a clear UV resin to create the look of ‘wet’ blood and the black book wrap shows a red collage of items from the films combined in another bloody mess. The publications were designed to be provided at an exhibition in the “Sky Lounge” at the new building of the Faculty of Design in Hawthorn.
